Did you know that a young child’s brain is different from yours? Using certain communication styles can help your child control his or her emotions and behaviors. Knowing your own limits and calming strategies will help you stay balanced and act as a role model for your children, too. Positive parenting is a learned skill that will change your life! Come and learn with us!

Schedule:
Session 1: Composure: anger management, delay of gratification, integrity.
Session 2: Encouragement: pro-social skills, kindness, helpfulness, independence, optimism, gratitude.
Session 3: Assertiveness: bully prevention, health, boundaries, respect for self and others.
Session 4: Choices: impulse control, goal achievement, persistence.
Session 5: Empathy: emotion-regulation, perspective taking, honoring diversity, honesty.
Session 6 – Part 1: Positive Intent: cooperation, problem solving, compassion, generosity.
Session 6 – Part 2: Consequences: learning from your mistakes, responsibility. Exit surveys.
