Did you know that a young child’s brain is different from yours? Using certain communication styles can help your child manage their emotions and behaviors. Knowing your own limits and calming strategies will help you stay balanced and act as a role model for your children, too. Parenting is a learned skill, come learn with us! All types of parents are welcome to attend.

Session 1: Connection: The role the brain plays in behavior; the power of intentional connection with your child. Brain State Model. I Love You Rituals.
Session 2: Composure: anger management, delay of gratification, integrity.
Session 3: Assertiveness: bully prevention, health, boundaries, respect for self and others.
Session 4: Encouragement: pro-social skills, kindness, helpfulness, independence, optimism, gratitude.
Session 5: Choices: impulse control, goal achievement, persistence.
Session 6: Empathy: emotion-regulation, perspective taking, honoring diversity, honesty.
Session 7: Positive Intent: cooperation, problem solving, compassion, generosity.
Session 8: Consequences: learning from your mistakes, responsibility. Exit surveys.
