This comprehensive evidence-based program also teaches how to use powerful communication and negotiation skills to strengthen marriage and family. Check out a few of the topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to set up a two home communication system<\/li>\n<li>Challenging parents to confront negative patterns<\/li>\n<li>Taking more responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Dealing with typical issues such as returning clothing<\/li>\n<li>Handling transfers<\/li>\n<li>The impact of a significant other<\/li>\n<li>Emotional baggage<\/li>\n<li>Realistic expectations within blended families<\/li>\n<li>Styles of parenting<\/li>\n<li>Relationship-building skills<\/li>\n<li>Roles of stepparents in a blended family<\/li>\n<li>Effective communication tips<\/li>\n<li>A model for handling blended family specific problems<\/li>\n<li>Educating parents on the impact their conflict has on their children<\/li>\n<li>Educating parents on how to replace destructive reactions with constructive responses<\/li>\n<li>Teaching parents the practical skills they need to manage anger, increase impulse control, resolve conflict and talk to each other without arguing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Parenting is a learned skill, come learn with us! All types of parents are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<p>These are real-time virtual zoom sessions taught by a certified parenting educator. A welcome email with zoom information will go out a week before classes start. Please download Zoom and set reminders to attend! A laptop\/<span class=\"mark2px2st7ty\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">tablet<\/span>\u00a0will be a better experience to interact, see the presentation and videos, etc. rather than a mobile phone.
