Real Talk! 5 Workshops on Teen Substance Use – Ashland

This education series will explore the current dynamics of substance use, adolescence, and parenting.
This is a complex topic and will not be facilitated from a place of shame, fear, and misinformation.
Instead, all participants will be asked to think critically about the topic of substance use, develop skills to deepen conversations, and at the conclusion of the sessions, feel empowered and informed. We will look at specific substances, health impacts, trends, and skill-building that will have positive impacts in our homes and community.

Location: Ashland High School, 201 S Mountain Ave, Ashland, OR

** February 20 @ 5:30-7:30 – “Drug Education” – Parents & Students
** February 27 @ 5:30-7:30 – “Communication, Boundaries, Partnering with your Teen” – Parents Only
** March 6 @ 4:00-6:00 – “Brain Development, Identity Development, Sleep, Stress, Emotions, Social Norms and Constructs, Q&A” – Students Only
** March 13 @ 5:30-7:30 – “Successes and Challenges Using Skills, Additional Skills and Practice, Q&A” – Parents Only
** March 20 @ 5:30-7:30 – “Putting It All Together, Conclusion, Next Steps, Feedback” – Parents & Students
