The Nurturing Program for Parents and Their Children Experiencing Disability and Health Challenges™ is designed to help parents and their children experiencing dysregulation, developmental delays, and health disabilities. Parents and their children will receive 2 hours of training one day a week during the evening for 12 weeks starting February 2019.
Parenting with Hope is a local program funded by Northwest Health Foundation and managed by The Family Connection for parents to learn specific parenting skills, master effective advocacy, gain skills for whole life planning, and have access to a parent leadership project to bring awareness regarding healthcare and education equity for children experiencing disability.
Included during the meetings: Complimentary dinner for everyone, quality Skills Training for child aged 0-9 experiencing special health and developmental needs, and child care for children siblings aged 3-10. Did you know kids in care receive a social emotional curriculum and are taught by local early learning professionals? This is true of ALL Family Connection parenting series and workshops. Infant children are welcome to attend with their adult.
