“Perspectives of Children’s Behavior” Monthly Workshop
3rd Monday of the Month
6pm-8pm on Zoom
RSVP: tinyurl.com/3kv276vb
This workshop series is appropriate for parents and professionals working with families. Behavior is a way of communicating needs or wants in response to an environment. Behavior allows communication ‘beyond words’. What we often don’t realize is that when someone is ‘acting out’, screaming or aggressive in nature, they are trying to tell us something that is often difficult to communicate with speech or the child may have neurodiversity. We invite you join us for 5 workshop sessions to take a step back and look at behaviors with a different perspective. This workshop is taught by a local mental health professional and you are more than welcome to bring your questions!
5 themes to broaden your perspective on Behaviors:
Feb 19- Core principles for a general audience.
Mar 18- Behavioral issues in the family, including blended/co-parented families.
April 15- Neurodiverse populations – Autism, ADHD, Tourette’s, etc.
May 20- Childhood trauma, foster parenting, adoption – behavioral issues in kids who have been through a lot.
June 17- Behavioral issues in the classroom.
